For my birthday in December, I got quite a few "iou's" from Russ. Today he cashed one in. The quilt display stand is finished and he put it all together this afternoon. He made a few improvements on the original design by making it about 8 inches taller, and adding a couple more rungs in the back for hanging quilts. I think it is beautiful and can't wait to fill it up. I figure I can get at least a dozen quilts on it.....one for every month! Thank you, Russ, I love it.
Very elegant stand and the quilts look lovely on it.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for something just like this! Did you purchase a kit or plans? If so, where can I find them? If your very handy hubby designed it, would he share his project notes with us? Thank you in advance!
ReplyDeleteIs there any way I may order this quilt rack?
ReplyDeleteUnknown....you are a no-reply blogger. Ask a question via email or link your email to profile, please. This is not for sale as it was my birthday present.
DeleteIsn't it fun to rejuinevate a post from eight years ago!! Thanks for sharing at Tuesday Archives this week. I'be never seen a "double" ladder like this and like the idea of having all the space.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to know where he found the pattern?
ReplyDeleteUnknown commenters.....can't reply to you directly. Here is a current link (2019) where this plan may be ordered from Woodcraft. https://www.woodcraft.com/products/downloadable-woodworking-project-plan-to-build-quilt-ladder?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA&utm_term=413260D&utm_content=All%20Products&adlclid=ADL-ea7a0cb7-441f-4573-9c30-726438f8c141
