I have 3 done and 2 more pieced, and batting cut for about 8 more. What was I thinking? I gave up my Wonder Woman suit a while back, and this was a big project to fulfill by the first week in December. That's when they begin distributing the toys......... over 50 doll beds, cradles, and strollers....Yikes.
And it is hard to have a quilt for some, but not enough for each one.
And then an angel appeared. She sent me an email to offer to help make a few tops for the doll quilts. Freda, the imperamanga, gave me the nudge to ask for help in blogland. And before I could get this posted, a second angel arrived with a similar offer. Cheree at The Morning Latte wants to make a few too. Ladies, you are so special.
Here's what I need:
One top for a doll quilt---size 12" by 18" for the cradles, and size 14" by 18" for the doll beds.
So I am asking for tops---string pieced or made from orphan blocks are just perfect--- that I will finish with batting and backing--no binding--just a plain edge. If you want to send a finished one, that would be wonderful, but not expected.
Leave me a comment and I will send you snail mail info. Encouragement is always welcomed. And pop over to thank Freda and Cheree, too, for me.
Thank you , Lord, for scraps. They keep me humble and pieceful.
Will share this info on my blog tomorrow... will ship the quilt tops I'm working on tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteHo, ho, ho!
Those cradles look adorable!
ReplyDeleteI can't make too many, but I'll be delighted to make a few. Do you need extra batting too? I don't throw away the smaller pieces and probably have some that will be a good fit for these "covers".
ReplyDeleteI've started pulling fabric and hope to have one done this week. The cradles will be such sweet gifts.
