noreply-comment@blogger.com

~ true ...:     Every few days I get requests for information or a pattern that I offered via PDF.  Unfortunately the latest batch were all from No-Reply bloggers.  Replies to this go into the deep dark void of  space where only zombies, and alien things reside.

So once again, I remind readers to check that their email is attached to their profile or they need to include it in their comment.  Do not expect me to join your circle of google or whatever......I won't and don't need to join anything else. I freely share, but find it hard to also be a detective.  Otherwise those comments go to the trash.  Just saying.

  1. It amazes me how many people don't realize they are no reply, I used to try to find them but after finding and emailing one she said she knew and didn't care, LOL. O.K. then, not wasting time anymore.

  2. I don't search for people any more either. Like the saying goes - you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

  3. Bloggers everywhere raise their voices in agreement with you!
    Love the saying. : )

  4. I don't try to track them down either. Another trend I don't like is when the blog owner wants to have a conversation via the comments, by asking me a question and then gets cranky when I don't respond. I seldom go back to a specific post to see if there was a response.

  5. I agree 100%. We don't need to join something else just to reply to someone.

  6. Well said Debbie! I have had notifications asking me to join Google+ and a circle but I'm just sticking where I am with my blogging!

  7. In defense of at least some no reply commenters, it is incredibly easy to accidently log yourself out when trying to close those annoying banner ads at the top of some blogs (especially Bonnie Hunter's). Now that I'm aware of it, I'm really careful when closing those ads, but some people may not realize they've logged themselves out. Sharon (Vrooman's Quilts) has a very helpful link on solving no-reply status which is where I learned how to do it.

  8. Thanks for this. The most frustrating thing about blogging is no-reply comments. Often people ask me a question or for some piece of information, and I feel badly when I can't respond. I'm with you...not going to go searching for them.

  9. I agree 100%, each time I have a giveaway I repeat the same things and half of the people don't leave an email...some ask questions: idem . Now trash...
