Dropping in to say Happy Valentine's Day! Sharing a favorite wall hanging from 2013.
And to let everyone know I am still hanging on. It has just been a painful month. Some days I have trouble holding a coffee cup. When the weather goes thru such drastic changes in 7 days, it plays havoc on my body. It was 70 degrees on a Tuesday, On Thursday the rains began and stayed until we had over 6 inches of of runoff forming rivers in the yard and streets...etc. Winds and tornadoes happened on Friday. And Saturday we turned cold and.......... and snow happened. Don't you love my Metalbird on the post? It was a Christmas present!
That was last week, which leads to this week and more rain....lots of it. On the good/better days I try to get to the sewing room for an hour or so. It has taken a while but I managed to get those pre-printed place mats done.
Today I hope to work on an older small water color wall hanging that I found in a box of blocks. I think I must have used it for classes at one time.
So one final wish, and hug for a sweet Valentine's Day.
This candle mat was made several years ago from scraps and parts. I love mixing the variety of red prints.
Happy stitching.

Well, Leah Day had a flood in her basement where her business is, so I know you got lots of rain. So thrilled you are persevering and still stitiching.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!! I love your Metalbird.
ReplyDeleteWe had 70 degrees last week too, then I got 2.74" rain, and this morning it was 30 degrees, and not much warmer by noon. I'm ready for Spring! I love your pretty little Valentine pieces. Hope the doctor finds something to help your hands. ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are hanging in there but I'm sorry to hear you are getting the weather that adversely affects your health. I do love Metalbird. He is quite unique! Also love your Valentine's Day wallhanging. We are getting record breaking cold - It is 7 degrees right now with gusty winds and the forecast is for -25 degrees with more winds before morning. We have deep snow and received more last night. I'm a bit tired of winter! I hope your weather settles down - looks like we just need to get to Sunday and then things will be a little more normal. Fingers crossed! Happy Valentine's Day! ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteThose pre-printed placemats are a lovely finish, so spring-like and cheerful. As is your bird on a pole! I hope the weather improves so we can all begin feeling better. These constant changes and general dreariness are tough on the body and spirit. Happy Valentine's Day to you and your Sir Old Man!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you too! I love your twirly hearts.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your Valentine's quilts every year! Crazy weather. Glad to hear your getting into the sewing room.
ReplyDeleteDramatic changes in weather can really mess with chronic conditions!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you have had it so rough lately, Debbie. I do keep you in my prayers, as you know.
I am glad you have squeezed in a little of you "Stitchin' Therapy"!
That metal bird is really cool--and not just because of the snow. :)
I hope you and the weather are better soon! I do enjoy reading your posts and the Valentines are very cheerful today.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear from you & Happy Valentine's Day to the both of you. Seems like we've had "up & down" weather ever since October. It's 42 deg. this morning but sunny! I've always loved your Valentine's Day works of art & look forward to seeing them each year. Your new place mats are so very, very lovely. I do love Mr. Metalbird. That was a perfect Christmas gift for you! Praying for better weeks & months for you as Spring slowly approaches.

Happy Valentine's Day to you. I hope you are feeling well enough to create today.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day Debbie, and hope all this drastically changeable weather settles down, one way or the other, so your poor body gets some relief. We had -4 degrees when I went out to get the paper this morning, and am so happy we can stay home today. Hugs and prayers.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you the GALentines!!
ReplyDeleteHappy day of love to you too! LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping us all a blog post to let us know what you're up to. It's good to hear from you! Both your Valentine's pieces are so pretty. I love the whirls and swirls and varieties of red. I hope the weather plays nicely with your body for the rest of the month!
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine art is so pretty, and I like those placemats, too.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of Winter. Ready for Spring!
Sorry about all the rain. We're getting some today. All the pressure changes are hard on the body. I had to use some topical pain reliever on my arthritic thumbs this weekend (first time to use it).
ReplyDeleteSo good to see your post come up! Yes, I certainly do love the Metalbird, lovely Christmas present and I love your heart wall hanging. Hope you find relief soon for your pain.
