OK-Rehab week one

OK ---One week update:  I have settled in doing 3>4 hours of PT and OT daily. Some days it is one step forward and the next day may be a step backwards.
Not sure if the diagnosis came across. I had total depletion of  B-12 in my body which controls or regulates everything!! For my breakfast it is 25 vitamin pills and two vitamin shots O Boy such a tasty breakfast.
I still have no sense of touch in either my hands or feet making it hard to stand and walk properly or my hands to grasp anything. I want to go home so bad. I do whatever they ask of me and try my hardest in every task. Everything has to be relearned .
Thanks everyone for your continued prayers and support. You keep my strength up.
 Deb

  1. Oh, sweet heart - so good to hear you again! You are in my daily thoughts and prayers. Having been thru a long rehab in the past, I know the 'want to go home' feeling, but that will drive you to do your best at what they throw at you.

  2. It is good to see your post & so glad that you have one week behind you now. I know you are working hard at PT & OT so as to not be in rehab any longer than necessary. You & your family are in my daily prayers for a very, very speedy recovery. Stay strong & keep the faith. Don't forget to smile when possible because smiling is good exercise!

  6. Praying for you to be able to rehab and move out of there! When you are too weary, may the Lord carry you all the way. Keep swallowing those vitamins. Don't lose hope.

  7. Oh my, I hope they bring you something tasty for breakfast along with all those vitamins. It took your body awhile to deplete itself of B-12, and it will no doubt take awhile for it to build back up, but things will improve! Lots of prayers and good wishes are coming your way every day.

  10. Keep working on that step forward, and don't fret over the steps backwards. Like the "Little Engine that Could', keep saying 'I think I can, I think I can....'. Pretty soon, you will get there.

  11. Prayers and Healing Energy for your complete recovery. On World News just tonight was a report that Mary Todd Lincoln probably had Vitamiin B12 deficiency that was the root cause of her medical issues. Thankfully you are on the road to recovery.

  12. So pleased that you are making progress Debbie and on the mend. Yesterday I made a doll quilt as Mrs. Claus and thought of you. ;-)

  13. Good girl! I'm so happy to read this, 3-4 hours sounds like a lot of hard work but keep going. What are you doing the rest of the time? Any word on how long before you get some feeling back? We all want you home too, but we want you healthy. Sending positive thoughts and energies.

  14. Good morning Debbie......You just brought a huge smile to my face when I realized it was actually you behind the words on the screen. We are all so happy to hear you are making progress, however small it may be at this time. Hopefully they are feeding you lots of fish, poultry, eggs and dairy along with that 'tasty breakfast of pills'. Good to hear from and will continue to pray and think of you daily.

  16. I can imagine how much you want to go home! My 3 days in was enough for me. Do they have any idea when you might be able to head home and just drive in for PT/OT? (Sorry, hope I'm not making it worse talking about home...!) Still sending prayers for you and all the providers, including your husband.
