Second week of rehab



Another week done. I walked about 380 steps yesterday and tackled steps and fine motor skills.  Finally I have more energy because of the healthier cells being produced from the vitamin B12. My doctor is on vacation next week so that's   a hint I will be here a while longer   
  Mentally I am much better.  I only ask in prayer for exactly what I need for the day. When the therapist ask me to do  anything I just do it. That is the only  way home. 
  I still have no feeling in feet and hands are numb.  But one day I dream of having  pain free sensations    I am learning to use that thing called muscle memory. Funny it should rear its head again. Strong muscle memory will help me walk out the door and back home soon. 
  Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. Each day I rely upon them.

  2. Keep doing everything they ask. My MIL got dehydrated last spring, to the point that she had almost no sodium in her body. She wasn't sure she was going to survive. Her recovery took a long time, but, she's back to normal now, thank goodness.

  9. I was hoping for an update I'm so glad you're feeling some new energy, that will help you keep going. Lot's of hard work, but we all know you have amazing muscle memory :). I'm thinking about you everyday and still sending positives.

  10. Debbie, thank you for the update this morning. I think of you often and wonder how your week is going. It's good to hear you are making progress. You are headed in the right direction and with the hard work you are doing, your goal to get home will be realized. Hang in there. A lot of people care!

  11. Great to hear that you're improving, even though the road to recovery is longer than we would all prefer. It's great to hear that you're doing all the things your physical therapist tells you, and I'm amazed that you can walk hundreds of steps with no feeling in your feet. Take good care of yourself. We're all rooting for you!

  16. It was so good to get a weekly report from you. It sounds like things are slowly getting better now with the good news of more energy & your walking. Remember how you pushed us to do those free motion designs on paper to develop "muscle memory"? You're a pro at drawing on your muscle memory & will be walking away from rehab in no time. I pray for you & your family every day. Stay strong....love & hugs to you!
