From Greater Columbia Quilt Guild
For this class I lifted all restrictions, giving them the freedom to express themselves. I am so glad they took the opportunity to do this.......rather than duplicating my examples. By their smiles I think they were happy and satisfied. Ladies, I am so pleased with your work!
Today was the outpatient evaluation for OT..........this is for the hands mainly. There is not any change or improvement. I was only able to identify one of the four objects placed in my hands. So we will work on strength training.....praying for a miracle in the hands and fingers. I won't dwell on it but you know how much I need those fingers.
OK, enough sobbing. I am greatly enjoying home and freedom to just be here. Thank you all for the encouragement and support. Keep stitching :)

ReplyDeletedefinitely a mood lifter! Thanks for sharing! My favorite is the single yellow rose!
ReplyDeleteFingers are an amazing creation. Praying yours will reconnect the neural pathways and work again to create beauty. Keep taking those vitamins.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Debbie......I was so happy when I saw a post from you in my e-mail today, and pray that soon, it will become a daily occurrence when you are able to sew again. All we can do is to keep praying and hope that the OT and time will wake up all those sleeping nerves. Hugs and prayers!!
ReplyDeleteWow you did a great job of teaching that class. Each of them really got it judging by the photo.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the PT! It may take a while but you will regain your abilities. You clearly need to be doing some more teaching. :)
Really like the far left quilt with the shaded blocks but yes, great results considering your in recovery!
ReplyDeleteIt's early days I'm sure so stay positive and keep at the physio.
Glad your home too, that's always the best place to relax and recover :)
Love the quilt with the yellow rose. You did a great job of teaching these ladies, Keeping you in prayer.
ReplyDeleteThe ladies have worked magic with their fabrics - you must be proud of them.
ReplyDeleteAlways wishing the best for your progress Debbie.
I haven't commented before, but I'm thinking of you all the way through your problems. I've had my own troubles at the same time with a fall and a smashed femur - one hip replacement later I'm home again. I certainly don't have your problem, but am still taking time to start sewing again as I can't bend more than 90 degrees, and we all know that hard as we try, we do lean forward when we are sewing. I'm sure you'll be back eventually (just sending some positive thoughts). I also did love the photo, and particularly liked the idea of making blocks from the colour wash - it is lovely, and I think it might be a good way for me to start - one day down the road when I get through the list I already have. Get well soon xxxx
ReplyDeleteHow proud you must be! You are home then?? Did I miss a post?
ReplyDeleteI'm channeling good wishes and positive vibes to you, hoping for a meaningful recovery so you can get back to making your beautiful quilts. So sorry to read of your struggle and your words make me appreciate how lucky we are who have the use of our hands.
ReplyDeleteSorry the feeling hasn't come back yet. I'm still praying. I'll be seeing the neuro doc, about my feet, in less than 2 weeks. Not as bad as you, by any means, but, scary anyways.
ReplyDeleteОх, сколько же красоты сразу.
ReplyDeleteWhat great feedback for you! It's always nice to know you've made a difference!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got to see the picture of the quilts that resulting from the class. We really enjoyed it!
