There aren't too many left in my yard....but they can be found on the florabunda quilt top.
While I was putting together all the blocks, I was planning the border. Nope, not gonna happen. I measured this one and found out it was about what I wanted.....54" by 72". A 5" border on each side would grow it into a double bed size. My first plan was really the best for me.....just a 2 inch band around it. With all the seams on the edges from the blocks, I like to have a band at least to corral it and keep it from stretching or such till quilted. And yellow binding will finish it off.....eventually.
I went outside to try and get some better pictures and truer colors. Boy, it is still hot, hot, hot. The humidity is down but I am so tired of 95 degrees.
Not sure when I will get it quilted.....I am waiting on my batting order to arrive and my finger joints are really inflamed this week. I think it is time to give them a rest. So..... it will be straight line quilting on this one to emphasize the pattern.
I am really loving this one....just had to share it.
Happy stitching.
